Song Sparrow Vector Illustration

I’m attempting to develop a vector illustration style that I enjoy and I feel captures birds. I made this illustration referencing a photo of a Song Sparrow in my backyard. Lately, I’ve been really drawn to lighter colors and minimal pieces, so you can see that in this piece.

It’s hard to try to reduce a specific bird species to it’s basic elements while still making it obvious what kind of bird it is. I think I might have slightly overdone it with this bird, but Song Sparrows have such elaborate markings that if you reduce them it doesn’t look like itself.
