A grumpy little hummingbird also inspired by my Chinese Brush Painting class. I’m trying to blend my current style with it and see what comes of it. Hope you like it.

I’ve been taking a Chinese brush painting class taught by Jean Shen at the Athenaeum Music and Arts Library in La Jolla. Although I haven’t really learned enough to paint a proper bird painting using Chinese brush painting strokes, I thought it would be fun to try to meld the techniques into my own type of work to see what comes of it.
Once I learn enough to do an actual brush painting, I’ll post it!
