Fall

Another eagle shot. The rain was so thick I’m shocked I got a photo at all.
Visiting family in Arkansas over break we saw a bald eagle grab a fish out of the water and proceed to eat it on an island in the middle of a lake. It was pouring rain, so I’m shocked that the eagle would be out flying but I guess it’s not like he can’t go out for pizza or anything.
Isn’t this just a beautiful color palette in this photo? Reminds me perfectly of fall.
Isn’t it pretty?
Red-bellied Woodpecker in Arkansas
The sun was setting when I took this shot so the normal bright chest of this robin is a dull gray. Makes it another LBJ.
The flash of red on this little woodpecker’s head reminds me of racing stripes.

I’m very impressed that this woodpecker is able to hang onto this warped branch. Life is full of warped branches.

When I look into trees I think how birds must feel like they are living in an M. C. Escher painting!
