I almost didn’t see this Marbled Godwit since it blends in so well with the water around it. The barred feathers and the ripples blended in so well it was actually easier to see this bird in black and white than in its original color version.
You can’t see it, but this is right under a train bridge and behind an office parking lot. I couldn’t help feel bad for the poor birds trying to fish in this gross water under moving trains. Makes me feel bad that our actions make their lives harder.
