This cute Acorn Woodpecker looks like he’s wearing a red little cap on his head. That or a really bad toupee. 🙂

Sneaky
I don’t know why these White-Headed Woodpeckers make me think of sneaky characters, but this one reminds me of V (from V for Vendetta) dressed as Guy Fawkes. Maybe it’s because these woodpeckers kept sneaking back behind trees every time I tried to get a picture. Maybe they just seem shifty… who knows. 🙂
Phantom
A new lifer for me. This female White-Headed Woodpecker reminds me of the phantom from the Phantom of the Opera with a white mask on her face while wearing a black hat and cape.
