A Western Bluebird that decided to stay the winter in our neighborhood checks out my bucket that I use to bleach my hummingbird feeders. I think he was hoping for something more exciting inside.
A female Belted Kingfisher hangs out looking for fish to dive in and grab. I guess it’s the bird equivalent to our Drive-Ins.
This Western Scrub Jay is obviously SO proud of the Corn Nut it found on the ground. He was just flying around showing it off to all of us. I guess even birds like junk food every now and again.
A Stellar’s Jay rocking it out with his crazy mohawk.
A Stellar’s Jay looking very regal in his beautiful blue ‘coat’. Reminds me of a dignified judge standing in his fancy robes.
A beautiful Stellar’s Jay sitting in the sun amongst intertwining branches. Looks like nature’s elaborate cage.
A Steller’s Jay cracking a peanut snack. Look how beautiful the feathers are. The blue is almost unreal.
