It’s really hard to get close to birds and take a decent image.
But here I could see plenty of nice sharp images…
I think we should know a little bit about their nature and comfort zone as well, right?

Since my Nikon has a 60x zoom, I don’t have to get super close so I don’t disturb the birds much. I was probably 15 feet away from this one. This Song Sparrow was moving more than normal because he was hunting bugs in this one tree at the edge of the lagoon.
I personally love Song Sparrows. I get them in my yard constantly and they are pretty fearless. When my dog is in the yard and they sit on the fence and wait for him to leave. Most birds would just fly away immediately. I also have a feeder near my office and they will sit on the window ledge and watch me work. Kinda creepy, but then I remember that I also watch them alot so I guess we’re even. 🙂
