Exploring the birds of San Diego through art
Anna’s Hummingbird
A female Red-winged Blackbird elegantly hanging on while the wind whips her reeds all over the place. It made me realize how strong these small birds really are!
These were my first California Trashers but they sure look like they have resting grump face!
Do you ever think that some birds’ legs look just like the twigs that they are sitting on? Look how close they are!
This little Spotted Sandpiper seemed to enjoy flashing its little tail feathers at me!
These were the first White-faced Ibis I was actually able to get a good shot of. They were so kind as to wait around for me to take some pics. They were chomping down on some tasty bugs in a field.
Forget penguins, I always think that Black Phoebes look like they are wearing fancy tuxes.
A bunch of seagulls taking a break hanging out watching the ocean. Reminds me of that game, telephone!
I think buildings would look much more inviting if they had birds as gargoyles! I know it defeats the purpose, but isn’t this adorable?!?
